SPP Assists with Natural Gas Vehicles - Lunch and Learn

Last week, Strategic Public Partners helped coordinate logistics at an event called Natural Gas Vehicles - Lunch and Learn at the Athletic Club of Columbus. The event was sponsored in part by SPP client Chesapeake Energy and featured a panel of natural gas experts who were discussing the future of natural gas technologies in Ohio. Did you know that natural gas is the cleanest burning hydrocarbon on the planet? Over a dozen state legislators were in attendance as well as representatives from Ford Motor Company, the Ohio Gas Association, and Ariel Corporation.

Promoting Google for Veterans and Families at Local Event

For the past three months, Strategic Public Partners has had the honor to help promote Google for Veterans and Families, a new website offering free tools for members of the military community. In this, SPP recently partnered Google for Veterans and Families with Operation Buckeye, a Columbus, Ohio charity that assists members of the armed services serving abroad, for an event in which the two groups sent over 1,000 care packages to troops stationed in Afghanistan.

Ford Helps Louisville Families by Donating a New Delivery Truck, SPP Provides Public Relations Support

On November 22, 2011, Ford Motor Company helped make the holiday season a little brighter for families in Louisville, Kentucky by donating a $70,000 F-550 refrigeration truck to the Dare to Care Food Bank. The food bank plans to use the truck to deliver a portion of the 12 million meals they provide to families each year. SPP had the honor of providing public relations support, from drafting press materials and conducting outreach to fielding questions from the media, for this heartfelt story. The event was picked up by nearly every outlet, from print to television, in Louisville.

SPP Public Relations generates 3.7 million impressions for Sprite event

Recently, SPP’s Public Relations team worked with the Coca-Cola Company in providing community outreach, event coordination, and media relations for a Sprite Spark Parks Project in Highland Park, Michigan. The event, a ribbon cutting unveiling a unique renovation of Highland Park High School’s outdoor basketball courts, teamed up Sprite and the Detroit Pistons to deliver a $40,000 court refresh.

SPP Helps Google Get Businesses Online

Strategic Public Partners worked on behalf of Google in recent weeks to organize events to help Ohio businesses take full advantage of the internet. Called “Get America’s Businesses Online”, these Google-sponsored events provided free websites and educated small business owners about online advertising, Google Places listings and other aspects of e-Commerce.

SPP Presents to Ohio Lobbying Association

Last Wednesday, SPP Partner Brandon Lynaugh and Senior Director John Roscoe gave a presentation to the Ohio Lobbying Association entitled “The Intersection of Grassroots Communications and Direct Lobbying.”

The presentation touched on each element of a successful grassroots campaign, from a comprehensive plan to mobilize supporters to emerging technologies that can be used to activate stakeholders. SPP "Captures the Flag" for Heart Health

SPP recently had the honor of planning and executing a philanthropic program for Diet Coke called "Heart Truth Capture the Flag." Held at the Ohio State University and featuring students playing games on behalf of the OSU Medical Center and Columbus Black Nurses Association, the tournament highlighted the dangers of heart disease and the many ways Diet Coke is working to help heart health.
