SPP Presents to Ohio Lobbying Association
Last Wednesday, SPP Partner Brandon Lynaugh and Senior Director John Roscoe gave a presentation to the Ohio Lobbying Association entitled “The Intersection of Grassroots Communications and Direct Lobbying.”
The presentation touched on each element of a successful grassroots campaign, from a comprehensive plan to mobilize supporters to emerging technologies that can be used to activate stakeholders. From coalition building to developing grasstops contacts, the presentation covered it all. The presentation was summarized:
- Grassroots strategies can help direct lobbying and issue advocacy efforts succeed
- Third-party validators always lend credibility to your issue
- Identifying and mobilizing local supporters can often be the difference between winning and losing
SPP not only knows how to build a grassroots campaign, but has the experience necessary to make that campaign a success. Being able to share that knowledge with other professionals was an honor.
